Preschool Math Lesson

Here the students in preschool are working on Mathematics which includes counting to 10 and matching these numbers together.

Preschool Christmas Program Practice

Students in the preschool class were busy practicing their song for the Christmas Program. Each were presented a red candle holder with a lit candle, and explained the dangers of fire and matches. They then practiced their song in both English and German.

They have also been busy working with the cobbler needle to create their wonderful candle holders. Below you will see them busy at work.

Preschoolers and Phonics

This week, the preschoolers are continuing their phonics curriculum focusing on the letter L. Above you will see highlights from that lesson where students are holding up objects that begin with the letter L.

Preschool Alphabet Fun



The preschoolers had fun unstacking the alphabet box and matching all of the objects to the correct letter. This seemed to be quite an engaging lesson for these two students.

Unit Autumn/Harvest Continues: Playgroup Focuses on Farm Animals

This week, the main focus for the play group learners is focused around farm animals. Students will be reading farm stories, learning farm animal sounds, and counting crows and chickens.

The weekly colours they are focusing on are brown, white, red, and yellow and will continue to be reinforced in their arts and crafts this week. The weekly vocabulary consists of words centered around the farm animal theme that include chicken, hen, rooster, egg, and chicken. Below are the lessons being taught for each day of this week:

Autumn Term 2 Week 4 09

Next week, students will continue exploring the Autumn/Harvest theme learning the parts of the body through making their own scarecrows. The weekly colours are orange, green, and yellow and will be incorporated into each lesson and activity. The weekly vocabulary words will focus on body parts, straw, and scarecrow.
